I first came across the "rhubarb" one ages ago (I think watching Mystery Science Theater 3000), and I was pleased to find the definition from the OED that perfectly fit the inane blathering on my personal blog. :)

Thanks for the comments on the Tudor site. I never get as much time to work on it as I'd like, but I try to chip away a little each day. I haven't read "I am Mary Tudor" but I have heard of it. I guess I'll have to add it to my way-too-large pile of books to read (that I will need to live to 206 to able to read!)Larahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16630629272030282584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18139020.post-23976245426445702232008-11-08T19:07:00.000-06:002008-11-08T19:07:00.000-06:00Wait a minute! I have known of it for a long time, just hadn't explored it in much depth. Wow. What a site, what a service, what a vocation. I thought I was a Tudor geek ... I don't hold a candle to these people.

I'm sure you have, but, have you ever read the marvelous novel I am Mary Tudor, by Hilda Lewis? It's one of the two or three favorite books I have ever read (I say favorite to distinguish it from best, as in, you know, Plato and such. Must keep priorities straight.)

Thanks again. I'm off to explore your other blogs.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04851990325188858710noreply@blogger.com
